Rebecca Louison
PhD, LMFT (Owner)
Rebecca Louison, PhD, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and children. She specializes in addressing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, body dysmorphic disorder, trauma, and Borderline Personality Disorder, among others.
Dr. Louison is the founder and owner of Resilient Mind Therapy and Neurofeedback, PLLC., where she utilizes a humanistic-experiential approach to therapy. This framework encourages clients to explore their sense of self, relationships, and context in order to cultivate a more authentic and congruent self. Guided by a developmental and attachment-oriented perspective, and informed by the latest neuroscientific research, her approach integrates various therapeutic modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Louison also views client concerns through a systemic lens, emphasizing how changes in any part of a relational system can affect the whole.
In addition to traditional therapy, Dr. Louison provides Neurofeedback services, helping clients optimize brain functioning to address issues such as ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and PTSD. She is currently under the mentorship of Dr. Randy Lyle, a pioneer in the field of Neurofeedback, with over 20 years of experience.
As a clinical supervisor, Dr. Louison takes a developmental approach, integrating the therapist’s personal growth with their professional development. She is an AAMFT supervision candidate and is approved by the Iowa Board of Behavioral Sciences as a licensure supervisor. Her supervisory approach is flexible and dynamic, adapting to the developmental needs of each supervisee. She transitions between roles such as teacher, coach, administrator, and mentor, always aiming to strengthen the supervisee’s clinical skills and enhance ethical client care. Dr. Louison believes that a strong foundation in the self of the therapist is essential to improving both professional competence and clinical practice.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Louison is a full-time faculty member at Mount Mercy University, where she teaches in both the Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy programs. Her courses include Neuroscience for MFTs, Neuroscience of Emotion Regulation, Neurophysiological Essentials, Family Systems, Human Development, as well as two practicums a year. For the Psychology program she has taught Clinical Psychology/Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Biological Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Senior Seminar, Psychology of Adjustment, and Stress Management. In July 2025, she stepped into the role of Clinical Director at the Olson Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic, where she looks forward to integrating diverse theoretical perspectives to enhance client care.
Dr. Louison, originally from Phoenix, AZ, relocated to Iowa in 2010. She earned a BA in Psychology (2015), an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy (2019), and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy (2023), all from Mount Mercy University, where she specialized in neuroscience. Her dissertation focused on “Neurofeedback and Its Efficacy in the Treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder: A Pilot Study.”

Tyler Montanez
tLMHC
My name is Tyler Montanez, and I am a tLMHC that graduated from the University of Iowa. I am a person centered and CBT based therapist, who works with clients of all ages. I see people for individual, couples, and family counseling, and work with people both in person and via telehealth. I believe that people deserve to be heard, and I do my best in each session to provide a safe space for everyone to express themselves and feel valued. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, 3D printing, and playing video games. I believe that my passion for people comes out in session, and I look forward to hearing your story.

Katelyn Hodnefield
LMHC
Katelyn is now a fully licensed therapist with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults. She is also actively pursuing the requirements to become a registered play therapist. Katelyn has experiences working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-image issues, behavioral difficulties, divorce, ADHD, anger management, adjustment concerns and trauma. She has a particular interest in working with individuals and families within the agriculture industry.
Utilizing a client-centered and strengths-based approach, Katelyn incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and often includes engaging play and art-based methods in her sessions. She strongly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster positive growth and strives to create a therapy environment that is both fun and welcoming, while also encouraging clients to reach their therapeutic goals collaboratively.
Katelyn’s practice does have limitations as she does not feel comfortable working with client’s whose primary diagnosis is personality disorder, psychosis, or substance abuse.
